Journey with us to awaken your mind and body to the innate awareness of your natural surroundings.

Join Registered Maine Guide, Jon Gardner, and licensed yoga instructor, Chani Cochrane, in this unique physically and spiritually guided experience on Knox Mountain in Newfield, Maine. We will slowly journey on this moderate 2.1-mile (out and back) trail with many breaks built in for nature awareness activities and tree identification with Jon. Once at the summit, while taking in the view, Chani will lead a gentle yoga and meditation session. This will be followed by a cup of freshly brewed pine needle tea and homemade treats. We will leisurely make our way back down the mountain. We aim to make this event accessible for as many ability levels as possible.

Please pack a full water bottle and wear something bright orange, as it is hunting season. Orange is always a good idea, even on Sundays! If you don’t have a backpack suitable for the trip, please let us know and we will help carry your gear.

We will be using a bandana for activities. We have plenty and they will be freshly laundered, but please feel free to bring your own if you feel more comfortable doing so.

Please park in the grassy field and meet to the left of the trailhead (near the parking lot).

This event is for those 18 years and up.

The price is $30 per person. This event is limited to 12 participants, so please register ahead!

Directions: The parking lot and trail head are off Water Street/Route 11 (roughly 520 Water Street, West Newfield), opposite Hicks Road. You’ll see a sign for the state’s wildlife management area.
